Call for sponsorship applications

posted 6 Sep 2012, 02:18 by John Szetu

Dear Colleagues,

Applications are now open for IAPB WPR’s Future Leaders Development Program (FLDP) for sponsorship to attend the RANZCO 44th Annual Scientific Congress in Melbourne from 24 to 28 November 2012.

The FLDP seeks to provide future VISION 2020 champions with opportunities to participate in short-course training or to attend key regional conferences. FLDP exposes future leaders to new ideas and ultimately, aims to strengthen national capacity to deliver sustainable eye health programming.

IAPB will be looking to support applicants from the Western Pacific Region that demonstrate they are:

  • Involved in VISION 2020 initiatives in their own country and/or internationally
  • Not ordinarily able to attend such an event, due to funding
  • Not currently in a position of leadership, but show promise and enthusiasm
  • Female, or from an under-represented population group

Please share this information with anyone in your network whom you feel meets the above guidelines and would benefit from attending the RANZCO Congress. More information can be found on our website at: http://www.iapbwesternpacific.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=87&Itemid=192 or in the attached Application Form.

If you have any questions please contact me.

Kind Regards,

Alecia
